Hellllloooooooo!

I'm very pleased to announce the release of the first game from JJCgames:

'Air Hockey' for Android phones (like the T-Mobile G1) is available now from the Android Market for $0.99.

Right now it's only available for US users, but it should be available in other countries soon. Sign up for updates if you'd like to know when (see the links on the right of this page for the many and varied ways we can bug you).

Check out JJCgames.com for a YouTube video and a link directly to the Market:

  1. Hello JJC, congrats for your 1st game!

It looks very smooth, and the sound fx are very realistic. Is it opengl? or good ol' 2d graphics?

Hope to see soon your next games!

    Cheers!

  2. Yes, it is OpenGL. I wasn't planning to use OpenGL initially, but on Android the normal 2D graphics system isn't hardware accelerated (yet), so the performance wasn't good enough.

  4. I knew it was OpenGL, damn it ;)
My game is almost ready, but the 2D/SurfaceView performance is driving me crazy.. My last hope was your game's smooth behavior, but I had the impression that it can't be 2D/SurfaceView (because of my own experiences).
Congrats, you're the reason I'll re-do it in OpenGL and make it look so smooth as I always wanted ;)
